Let's talk about affordability. In 2009, @jamestalarico helped a woke UT president preserve anti-middle-class tuition increases. In 2003 @KenPaxtonTX defied pressure from his own party's leadership, voting against HB 3015 the bill authorizing those increases. #TXSen Vote Paxton!
I've known @jamestalarico for nearly 20 years. When we were at @UTAustin in 2009, he ran the University Democrats and I ran the College Republicans. Although we disagreed, I once considered him a friend. But then he betrayed the entire student body for his own political gain.🧵

It's well known that I supported @JohnCornyn in the primary. I will vote for @KenPaxtonTX in the 2026 general election and encourage others to do likewise. #txsen
While I understand some concerns about Paxton, his opponent @jamestalarico is pretending to be a moderate pre-election despite his voting record. After the election, you can expect anti-oil-and-gas, anti-law-enforcement, anti-Israel, DEI stuff from him. We don't need that in DC.
.@KenPaxtonTX generally gets policy right and is certainly a better pick than the alternatives.

The #NHL 's interest in putting a team in Houston provides @realDonaldTrump a great opportunity to troll Canadian PM @MarkJCarney (who was raised in Edmonton) on Truth Social. Trump can speculate about the prospect of the @EdmontonOilers becoming the Houston Oilers.
This suggestion has the added benefit of embroiling @CommissionerNHL in the #tariff kerfluffle!

Wow. At first I thought this might have been a typo or something by city staff. But the Bastrop City Council actually held a meeting on controversial topics like Flock Cameras and data centers a two-hour drive away from the City?!?! #txlege
The City of Bastrop is holding a City Council meeting hours away in Fredericksburg, making it nearly impossible for the people they represent to attend and participate.
That’s especially troubling when the agenda includes major issues like the city budget, property tax rate, legislative priorities, data center policy, and Flock camera technology—topics that directly affect Bastrop residents.
Public meetings should be accessible to the public. Moving them out of town undermines transparency and meaningful citizen participation.
This is unacceptable. I will be filing legislation to require that city council meetings be held in the city they represent so the public has a fair opportunity to attend, speak, and hold their elected officials accountable. #txlege
