I think society has irrevocably lost the ability to form nuanced thoughts. Life is seldomly black and white, thus opinions should also be tempered and not one sided

Scenario: the world is ending. Inflation is too high. Yields are too high. War in the middle east. Oil shortage. AI is smart enough to book all these flights, and are now getting trained to contract workflows “I know! I am going to buy $DOCU sign if AI is fake!”

Definitely not an over correction. Toshiba is threatening to bomb the HDD market back to the stone ages of commodity pricing. Straight prisoners dilemma right here. Scenario: HDD Market is growing at 6-9% CAGR to 2031. The smallest 10% player is planning on double their capacity by FY2027. Supply growing faster than demand creates margin compression. When margins get compressed, historically elevated forward multiples will also fall. This doesn't even account for the fact that their might be a capex arms race, and assumes that $STX and $WDC takes this lying down
$STX -10%; $WDC -7% Toshiba plans to invest ~$380M to double HDD capacity for AI data centers by FY2027, expanding its Philippines plant. It’s targeting 65TB drives by 2030 and eventually 100TB, as tight memory supply and SSDs costing ~20x more push more AI storage demand toward HDDs.

Made a bet on the architecture by longing external interconnect like $CRDO shorting $CBRS

the reason the $CBRS short arm works is that 40% of the pre-ipo lock up shares will be released over 40 days

JUST IN: Apollo Global Management warns AI agents could trigger an “agentic bank run” by automatically moving household cash out of low-interest bank accounts & into higher-yield alternatives.
