Former NFL Player Alphonso Smith Jr. D+es By S¥icide At 40 After A Cryptic Apology Post
Former NFL player and Ex Wake Forest University standout cornerback, Alphonso Smith Jr., has d+ed at 40.
According to TMZ Sports, sources with direct knowledge revealed that the former cornerback d+ed by s¥icide on Wednesday at a housing community in Florida.
His final Facebook post appeared to reveal the emotional struggles he was battling before his de@th. In the post, Alphonso wrote:
“Do not cry for me! I tried everything in my power to f+ght the demons behind the ones that someone put into ME! I did not want to be that WAY! I know I have disappointed so many folks. This is a DEMON in me! But not only me! It’s EVERYONE! I have HURT so many! I needed help and did not get it!”
He repeatedly apologized in the post, described himself as a coward and also referenced abuse he allegedly suffered at the hands of an older woman when he was a young boy.
Alphonso ended the heartbreaking post with the words: “I am SORRY! THIS IS IT!”
The former athlete attended Wake Forest University from 2004 to 2008 and earned All American honors in his final season. He was later inducted into the school’s athletic hall of fame in 2022.
For everyone who self harmed or killed them selves, i really think there are valid reasons. Sometimes people are tired of always having to deal with stuffs. And behind ar bunch of people who never believed they will self harm or take away their lives
