Forced psychiatric treatment is bad science, makes crisis worse, traumatizes people, and violates human rights. Evidence based alternatives are available - and supported by patient advocates. Good to see the final version of this paper in print from @jamieroneill Tapering drugs by dosing every second day risks severe withdrawal effects and is generally not wise. Better to use smaller doses e.g. liquids or compounded versions each day bit.ly/46i0Pvp

Internal FDA memo (1991) on Zoloft — released in my litigation vs @pfizer
#1 - Other foreign regulators initially refused approval citing “lack of robustness of the clinical evidence supporting its efficacy”
#2 - FDA said U.S. standards wouldn’t meet stricter foreign demands “unless there is a significant sea change in society’s attitude”
#3 - Final line of memo: approval “agency may come under attack… for not being as demanding as it ought to be … standards establishing the efficacy of antidepressants.”
They knew. They approved anyway.

Psymposia has finally been vindicated! While we've been harassed, MAPS/Lykos supporters have known FOR A YEAR that they were pushing a false narrative that scapegoated us for the FDA's rejection of MDMA. They wanted to hide their terrible science & force politicians to approve it
