Agreed. I’m pretty happy with the defense. There were several plays yesterday where our DBs were completely lost, but thankfully, the front 7 were so disruptive Mateer rarely had time to notice.

Because against the first decent defense all season, we gained only 300 yards, Gunner’s completion percentage dropped to almost 50%, and Bowens averaged 2.9 per carry. Without Mateer gifting us a few scores, yesterday’s scoreboard looks much different.
