J.Crew just quietly released a new pant fit Athletic Straight The leg opening is 7.75" flat or 15.5" around 1/2 inch wider than the nut-huggers they call straight (770 fit) and 1 inch narrower than the Classic, which I hear less-adventurous guys call "too big" Lots of buddies rave about the Broken-in Straight fit, which is only offered in a Chino and seemingly strikes the perfect middle ground for guys trying to wean the drug that is tight and stretchy. This seems now the closest analog to that, but in a five-pocket style. Though it's not exact.
