Spending the weekend helping a friend install an OS model on his wicked 256GB memory system, then using HyperResearch to help him get the functionality he wants at a fraction of the cost.

It is stupidly hard to start a pure software company right now.
Customers don't want software, they want outcomes. So you end up having to do a lot of custom work for them.
Anything horizontal is on a ticking clock.
Every customer wants to deeply customize.
There are opportunities.
But you need to have a very heretical 2-3 year view of the world in order to build something good.

If tokenmaxxing your way to leaderboard glory was the first enterprise AI mistake, inviting model providers inside your org to “maintain context” is the second. And it's going to be hell of lot worse.
Tokens are just spend, but the context anthropic will accumulate is real power. Once the model vendor maintains the memory of how your org works, you are not buying software anymore. You are renting your own institution back from them.

I'm solving this with cachd.app
Truly grateful for the work of @ashwingop, it has helped me make some serious architectural choices in my most recent project.
Thank you sir!
Commitments are what matter.
I have been thinking a lot about how we go about navigating productivity in life, most of us prioritize tasks every morning.
Tasks are what falls out of commitments.
Commitments are what matter!
Wouldn't it be useful if you weight all current commitments: company, family, body, craft, side project... and a system was capable of surfacing the right three things today without you needing to re-prioritize every day?
Every “second brain” tool assumes you’re one kind of person.
What about the generalist?
The one running companies, tending relationships, maintaining a body, learning a new craft, writing something special on the side, and stewarding their finances…
…all at once?
The productivity industry doesn’t seem to have a name for this person, but we should!
Observation on Claude Code performance:
While here in Vietnam (opposite time zone to most of U.S.) system seems to be much faster during the day here—at night (when everyone back stateside is up…) it is clearly slower in response time.
I wonder why this is…
I researched 100+ tools in the life management / PKM / AI agent space. the gap that surprised me…nobody has built for the person running 15+ parallel commitments across work, family, health, side projects, and exploration. That person has zero tools…
I am working on a side project right now that could prove to be very useful in all of the roles of my life—what a time to be alive!
If it’s possible, it will make the ambitious choices I have made, much easier to keep up with!
Space for more ambition!
