Honestly, settler colonialism as I’ve understood it is actually too gentle a frame for this. It’s straight up home invasion, and let’s be direct here, ethnic cleansing. It’s a crime and an insult to the memories of those lost in whose name it’s been perpetrated.

Just to be clear, by no means am I saying settler colonialism is “gentle”. It’s just that the mechanisms and time scale are different; settler colonialism as such, historically (and currently) seems to be a more gradual process of displacement through systemic shifts.
