“Let the fools have their tartar sauce.” I love that line. It's such good writing.
This is another really good season 2 episode. Homer scams his health insurance for a miracle hair growth formula. It works, and it changes his life for the better, in every way, but the good times don't last. It's so typical of the 2nd season and how it plays with the simple moral messages of traditional sitcoms. Long story short, having hair did make all the difference (hence the episode's name), and Homer's just fated to be bald and disappointed. But of course, it's not all bad and he should count his blessings.

If the Liberal Party wants to impose new immigration rules that will force young Canadians starting out their careers to compete with foreigners, without even requiring Canadian employers to prioritize the hiring of Canadian citizens, let's have an election so that the Carney government can have a clear and unambiguous mandate from voters to screw Canadian youth. For a bunch of people my age who have benefited from a country that allowed us to build careers and lives without having to compete for jobs and promotions from foreign candidates to make immigration decisions that will utterly torpedo the career prospects of millions of Canadians 40 and under without a national debate or a mandate to do so is both cruel and wrong. If voters in their wisdom believe that young Canadians are too stupid, too lazy or too irresponsible to be given a fighting chance to build the same careers I was without having to contend with unlimited numbers of applicants from outside the country (some of whom will receive Canadian-funded scholarships to attend the most competitive universities to do so), then let's have the debate and go into this abyss eyes wide open. This is no longer just about giving large corporations the ability to bring in unlimited numbers of fast food workers. It is about making it even harder for young people who grew up in this country to join the middle class. The old, ready excuse for unlimited immigration was that Canada had millions of jobs to fill that Canadians simply refused to do. That Canada didn't have enough fruit pickers and fast food workers willing to work minimum wage jobs because they were all going to work as IT workers, pilots, managers and engineers. Now, the Carney government has blown that excuse out of the water. If companies can't find enough Canadians to fill their high wage vacancies, they're either not paying enough or the education system has so utterly failed to produce enough qualified graduates to meet those needs. Either way, that should at least merit a national debate and a clear mandate from the people BEFORE a single new visa is approved. The constant reaching for foreigners as the easy solution deserves a national discussion not for old people like me but for young people who we all have seen struggle to live the type of life I've and we've enjoyed. So let's have an election on this issue and get it over with. This isn't about whether Canada should or shouldn't be the 51st state. This is about whether Canada has a place for its young people today.

Good. Now raise Don Mills Road back to 60 km/h for its entire length (except OL construction zones) as it was designed for. Lowering speed limits does nothing if you don't also reconstruct roads/intersections + change their engineering design. That's #VisionZero you silly goose!
Speed limits on local roads and laneways across Toronto will soon have speed limits of 30 km/h as part of the City's Vision Zero Road Safety Plan. The goal is to reduce the risk of serious collisions and create safer neighbourhood streets for everyone. This work is being implemented on a ward-by-ward basis and will continue through 2028. #Cheaters at top spot.
🔵 @ManCity make it six wins from their opening six games!

The Referee crew. Those are the MoTM. That 2nd yellow was soft.
🚨3️⃣ Manchester City make it three against Liverpool at Anfield! Erling Haaland with 6 goals in 6 PL games this season, 6 G/A for Rayan Cherki and also a Doku goal to open the score. Gravenberch gets a red card for Liverpool. Who’s been your Man of the Match?

Simple solution - but America will never do it. Pass a law that designates PE companies as vulture companies and apply 80% all-in income tax with ZERO items eligible for deduction. Apply a 25% tax surcharge on the 80% income tax rate if any of their asset-holdings go bankrupt.
I usually don’t agree with a lot of things @SenWarren says, but on this one she is 100% correct. Private equity has destroyed SO many storied brands.

Relegation to the 10th tier is what needs to happen... and a lifetime ban from UK cup competitions so they cannot win those and qualify for Europe.
Yeah… I’m absolutely with every Premier League club on this. City have to face capital punishment here. They have denied different clubs different honours. They denied Arsenal, Liverpool and Man United multiple titles. They denied different clubs prize money, sponsorship deals and Champions League qualification. Every club has every right to demand that City face the most severe punishment possible and be removed from the Premier League.

Let's see how this post aged. 🤣🤣🤣 Thank you @Ajameshowe for this lovely image response.
Arsenal wanted to sign João Pedro from Chelsea and also tried to sign Julián Álvarez, but he rejected the move. Arsenal don't have a striker capable of scoring against Chelsea today. The tables have turned, and Chelsea are now favourites to win at the Emirates. Ødegaard is predictable, Rice doesn't offer anything special, and Saka can only cross. So where will Arsenal's goals come from? Gyökeres needs space to thrive, while Havertz is mainly useful for long balls. Apart from that, he's bang average.

Lake Ontario is 18,960 km2 (10,000 km2 in Canada), with length 311 km and width 85 km. thecanadianencyclopedia.ca/e… Care to remind fatty we own the majority so we keep the naming rights? Can anyone find a US-based source to avoid source-bias? 🙃
As Trump posts his vision for a renamed Lake Ontario, its important to note the U.S. President cannot unilaterally rename it because it's a shared, bi-national body of water governed jointly by the United States and Canada. If Trump wanted to rename the American side it would have to be approved by the U.S. Board on Geographic Names, a federal body responsible for naming natural features.

Lewis-Skelly is routinely the most influential player on the pitch. Hard to do anything other than start this guy in midfield on a weekly basis. Talk of him leaving = nonsensical on every level. That influence has been clear since his debut, by the way. Still only 19 🤯🤯🤯🤯

What has James Harden done that Giannis hasn't? Giannis has 1 ring, 1 FMVP, 2 MVPs and a few DPOY. Harden has chucked the most bricks and looks like a fat pirate. Sorry but these probabilities hold no water and the source should be deemed unreliable.

Hey scumbag @PrabSarkaria, the University Ave bike lanes are wide enough so ambulances can bypass gridlock making it to the hospital FASTER saving lives. If you remove those bike lanes, gridlock will still exist and ambulances won't make it there faster. THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK!

Can't wait until city planning decides University Ave should be a pedestrian only promenade with 2 emergency vehicles lanes along the west curb. You practically shut down part of the road with Ontario Line construction and had to dismantle the South African War Memorial.
Common sense wins.

Highway 401 Express lanes in GTA should have a speed limit of 120 and be hard enforced by speed cameras ticketing drivers starting at 16km/h over. There is no excuse why European highways have safe designs with 120-130 speed limits and camera radar enforced and we don't.

Problem here is that no matter how well Colin's reporting pointS out wasteful spending examples and government corruption, voters in the 416/905 still listen only to Ford's mouth / party platform and continue to blindly support it. PC party will never get the boot they deserve.

Challenge ACCEPTED. 💪🔴 The last Arsenal player to win the Premier League wearing the No. 17 shirt was Edu in the legendary 2003/04 Invincibles season. 🏆 Since then, six different players have worn the number… and not one of them has lifted the league title. But now it’s Christos Tzolis’ turn. #Arsenal #AFC #COYG #Tzolis #PremierLeague 🔴⚪
