A day in the life of a fisherman 🤪 A good haul, a bad haul and a torn net which is tomorrow’s homework #fish24

Last sail for Wee Gus 😢 Threw him a teaspoon to rattle off the cup for when he’s in a mood 🤣

If you’re looking for a last minute something special to add to your Xmas shopping list well here’s this years must have gift 🤣 available from #clydemodeldockyard Shift the decimal point across a few places you could get the real thing 😘

Off on my travels again with CatchCam to Danfish in Aalborg - wonder how the hats will be received 😇

#fish24 #seafoodfromscotland I’m often asked why our langoustine have such a nice colour to them compared to other places round the country- the reason is down to using ground bait to mimic the overflow that sometimes comes from a certain factory in Glasgow #irnbru

#fish24 Not so good the last haul - a wee stone which isn’t the best for keeping the quality 😢 Also a big lump of old mid water trawl which must’ve been lost 20+ years ago - it’s bundled up for the skip. Landed and then back to the marina to strip the net drum for repair.

#Fish24 Joys of the job ! Large tree trunk stuck in the net which distorts the meshes and lets the prawns scuttle off to fight another day 🤷‍♂️

#Fish24 Just had a visit from the Navy escort - all good 😊

#Fish24 First haul in - bit premature as the net unfortunately stuck on something - no damage thankfully! Back out and try again

#Fish24 Heading out on a glorious morning

Off to #seg25 to help with the launch of the Scottish Quality langoustine scheme and Community Catch Thanks to #seafoodscotland for the invite and their confidence in me not to talk too much! #mairigouegeon #seafoodfromscotland

Up at the Barras dropping some prawns and scallops off for the Clyde fisherman’s Trust and getting a cooking lesson from Kat and John #seafoodscotand

Nice video from a UAE chef who won a trip to Scotland Not sure that meeting me would be classed as the top prize tho 😂😂 m.youtube.com/watch?v=9zm14J…

Final updates on the campaign, was a bit busy doing some last minute campaigning to post ! Went to drum up some votes at parliament and every single politician said theyd give me their backing so it’s in the bag eh 😉 Politicians don’t go back on their words do they ? – at Knock Castle, Scotland

Someone’s enjoying the calm before the next breeze comes in 😁

Finished the year off as a winner- first place in the marinas Xmas light competition 😋 Seasonal salutations to one and all 😉 – at Scotland, United Kingdom
