Never felt so Christmassy as it does right now, car full of prezzies travelling up north to drop off with family, Chris Rea playing “driving home for Xmas” on the radio, not been able to do this for 38 years working in retail, retirement is great🎅🎅
Finally finished painting the orangery, looks good even if I say so myself 😁. Keith is the real expert though, doing a fantastic job plastering lounge in readiness for me to paint post Xmas. Picking up my new cat for Xmas on Wednesday, I’ll post photos once I’ve got it….😻
At last started the mammoth task of painting our new home, what else would you be doing on a wet Sunday? first room the orangery, unfortunately everything needs 3 coates of paint could take some time but hopefully moving in in February 🤞

Now I know why I chose a career in food retailing and not the building trade,, just spent a few hours doing an 11x7 base for my shed and now have aches in muscles I didn’t even know I had, still concrete she’d base turned out ok…
Making the most of a glorious sunny day, who would thing it’s approaching December, lovely spot for a cup of tea after a nice walk and just 5 minutes from our new house, hopefully we are in by February?🤞
A lovely few days in the Cotswold, although a little windy at times as you can see….still managed to track down the local Indian restaurant, what a nice building 🥘🍺
