October 20, 2024: Trick or Tree Giveaway 🌳👻 This year, Radnor Conservancy is celebrating giving away native tree number 5,000! On Sunday, October 20, from 9am -12pm, Radnor Conservancy is delighted to again give away over 300 FREE native trees to the Radnor Township community! Reserve your tree(s) today! ✅REMINDERS: Trees are available at this time for Radnor Township residents only. Properties are limited to 2 free trees. You may mix & match, but please do not register for more than two total trees. You must arrange for the pickup of your tree(s) on Sunday, October 20 between 9am and 12pm at the Radnor Township Municipal Building (301 Iven Ave). Trees will not be held after this window. Please carefully follow signs up the hill to the circular drive-in front of the building. Our friendly volunteers will be on hand if you'd like help loading your tree(s) into your vehicle. 🌳Three Things to Consider for a Healthy Tree: 1) Light - does the location satisfy the light requirements for the species? Full sun – Plants need at least 6 hours of direct sun daily Part sun – Plants thrive with between 3 and 6 hours of direct sun per day Part shade – Plants require between 3 and 6 hours of sun per day, but need protection from intense mid-day sun Full shade – Plants require less than 3 hours of direct sun per day 2) Water Is the average soil moist enough? ALL trees, regardless of species, will need watering for two to three growing seasons. 3) Space Does the planting site have enough space for the tree's mature height?
