Another high school coach said to me this week:
“You see kids committing D1 off exit velo, ‘upside’ and showcases…
Then you check the H.S. stats—and they’re hitting in the .100s.”
He asked:
“If you’re a D1 guy, shouldn’t you be lighting up H.S. pitching?”
Thoughts on this?

“If you don’t like parents, don’t coach” is a common thought amongst parents. But they don’t realize they are chasing off GOOD coaches because they want to be part of the team. Parents, please get a life and let your kid have one too.

Hard coaching is under attack! I appreciate all the coaches that poured into me and helped me develop into a better man. Sometimes that came with tough love. Young people today need real old school coaching, not cheerleading – at Placentia, CA

A true baseball coach should be able hit fungos and throw batting practice. Some of you out there yelling at players to do things you can’t even do
