Insured catastrophe losses hit $107B in 2025, per Swiss Re. Part of that risk can be seen from above.
We mapped trees tall enough to reach power lines in King County, WA and Shasta County, CA. King: 25.7% stand 10 to 20 m from the line. Shasta: 5.6%.

FireCon, a US Forest Service neural network, predicts up to 48 hours ahead where wildfire containment features are likely to emerge and where they will dissolve.

Wherobots RasterFlow harmonizes the inputs into a 30 m analysis-ready data cube, runs the model across CPUs and GPUs, and exports 250 m control point outputs.
Geo Week News spoke with Kit O'Connor of the USFS Rocky Mountain Research Station and @Ben_Pruden of Wherobots.
Other workflows built on Wherobots + HERE:
- Underwrite a property against flood, wildfire and hail risk
- Site drone nests across Texas
- Send field crews to the cell sites that matter most
- Plan truck routes against tomorrow’s weather

We scored all 357,554 transmission spans in California for wildfire exposure. HERE then computed 21 evacuation routes out of Mount Hermon, a forest town in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
Every route runs beside high-risk spans for 0.79 to 2.04 miles.
The app can also overlay the neighborhoods in the top 25% for residents who may need help evacuating, on top of the same span risk scores statewide.
The least exposed route from Mount Hermon to the coast takes more than twice as long as the fastest. An evacuation planner has to weigh that tradeoff, and the agent puts both numbers side by side.

Wherobots and @HERE are partnering to give AI agents geospatial intelligence.
HERE Location Reasoning now runs through the Wherobots MCP server. One connection gives an agent large-scale spatial analysis plus HERE routing, geocoding and live traffic.

Working with large-scale raster datasets? Join our live session on RasterFlow tomorrow at 10AM PT. Serverless engine for mosaics, built-in models (SAM3, Fields of the World, CHM v1, or your own), and vectorization. See how it compares to GEE. bit.ly/4yedVFL
Wherobots for QGIS is a new plugin connecting QGIS to Wherobots Cloud. Run spatial SQL against WherobotsDB from a panel inside QGIS and load the results straight onto the map. bit.ly/3TNX12u
