seventeen's jxj teaser credits are out and the vfx is listed as "AI VFX" line after line. i'll give them this much, they didn't hide it. but i can't pretend it doesn't sit weird with me. i'm not against ai as a tool. i work around tech all day, i know what it can do. but there's a difference between using it to speed up a boring process and using it to make the art itself. the first feels like a calculator. the second feels like asking someone else to dream for you. and the artists who've spent years learning vfx are still here, still hireable. a teaser is the first thing carats see of a comeback, it should feel like people made it. ai can stay in the toolbox. i just don't want it doing the work when real artists are there for you to commission. @pledis_17 @pledis17_STAFF
