These readouts of the calls between China, Iran and Saudi Arabia are interesting as they confirm that the Iran-Saudi normalization deal (negotiated by China) holds. You also have Saudi Arabia's foreign minister saying that "Saudi Arabia and China have highly consistent positions on the current situation in the Middle East" and that "Saudi Arabia fully trusts China and is willing to promote the sustainable development of cooperation between Saudi Arabia and China". China's position, as described in the transcript is: - "China firmly opposes the attack on the Iranian embassy in Syria, which seriously violates international law" - "Iran has stated that its counterattack is not aimed at any neighboring countries and that it is willing to continue to pursue good-neighborly and friendly policies" - "This round of escalation is the latest manifestation of the spillover of the conflict in Gaza. The top priority is to strictly implement UN Security Council Resolution 2728, immediately achieve an unconditional and lasting ceasefire" - "The Palestinian people's failure to realize their legitimate national rights is the longest-lasting injustice in modern times. It is the root of the Palestinian-Israeli issue and the core of the Middle East issue" There were a lot of fake news pushed by Israeli media (e.g. jpost.com/middle-east/saudi-…) these past couple of days on Saudi Arabia allegedly helping Israel intercept Iranian missiles and drones (something denied by the Saudis: saudigazette.com.sa/article/…), and altogether being secretly on Israel's side in the conflict. This is another proof that this very much isn't the case.
