A Seattle man who shot and killed an eight-month pregnant Korean-American woman and nearly killed her husband when they were driving to work has been found not guilty by reason of insanity.
Cordell Goosby m—rdered Elina Kwon and her unborn baby in June 2023 when they were stopped at a red light. Prosecutors did not charge him for killing the baby due to concerns about protecting abortion in the liberal state.
After hearing testimony from defense medical experts that Goosby was "insane" at the time of the shootings, the prosecution agreed to have the case ended through the not guilty motion.

🚨 SITREP: Temple Israel Synagogue Incident – West Bloomfield Township, MI (Detroit metro area)
At approximately 12:30 PM local time, a male suspect drove a truck into the front of Temple Israel (a large Reform synagogue with an attached early childhood center/school on Walnut Lake Road).
— A “large amount of explosives” was reportedly found in the suspect’s vehicle.
The vehicle caused damage and smoke (possibly from fire). The suspect then engaged in gunfire inside or near the building.
- On-site security personnel immediately engaged the suspect and fatally shot him.
- One security guard was injured (non-life-threatening).
- No other injuries or fatalities reported — all children, staff, and congregants inside were accounted for and unharmed. Texts to parents confirmed “all kids and all staff fine” shortly after.
- The suspect’s identity and motive have not been publicly released yet.
