As anticipated, the #springstatement did not contain any new fiscal measures. We will need to wait until the Autumn Budget for those. And the likely accuracy of the OBR GDPR growth forecasts must surely be called into question by the Middle East conflict.

OBR predicts that unemployment will rise to 5.3% this year. And they allude to the increase in employer’s NIC to 15% and the cut in the employer’s NIC threshold to £5,000 as being contributory factors - as introduced by Rachel Reeves. #springstatement
