Turns out you can still enjoy great cfb games even when the losing teams can still make the playoff. Who knew?
I truly feel sorry for anyone who doesn't watch college football. Today has already been an all-timer.

It鈥檚 too bad that the losers of all these games today could still make the playoff because, otherwise, they would be really exciting and fun 馃槥

Miami lost to Louisville and SMU last year before making the NCG. 2024 ND lost to NIU before making the NCG. I thought we all would have learned this by now but it seems some people still need to recalibrate.
I鈥檓 struggling with expectations in the NIL + portal world. What鈥檚 a reasonable expectation for a tier 1 program? It鈥檚 not 0-1 losses every year any more, with more parity and less depth to survive week-to-week. Should everyone just expect to get their ass kicked once a year? Idk

Green鈥檚 injury makes every opposing offense tougher to play against but especially Tennessee. I was impressed the defense held up as well as it did for three quarters and I鈥檓 not gonna fault them for being gassed by the end.

The offense was the problem today but鈥dk鈥hat should we expect from an offense led by a 19 year old making his second start on the road and without his veteran center and star WR?

Ball was loose but not obvious that it hits the ground instead of his arm.

I didn鈥檛 think it was legal to push a player into the ball?

Gravity for CFB teams: a team鈥檚 opponent鈥檚 underperformance the week before and week after their game.
Vols getting caught looking ahead to Bama next week?!?! 馃憖

Maybe I need to expand it

CFB Playoff Ranking formats ranked 1. 12-team (small gap not worth getting upset about) 2. 24-team (big gap worth complaining about) 3. 4-team (big gap worth complaining about) 4. BCS (big gap worth rioting over) 5. pre-BCS

I may end up preferring 24-team tbh. Gets rid of conf champ games and gives us more high-stakes out of conference games.

I knew they'd do everything they could to destroy CFB and a 24 team playoff pretty much does it. Sad times for a sport that was loved by everyone & no one ever said it needed fixing until we were told by the talking heads who never loved it like it's fans cared about the $$ more

These third down conversions are brutal.

It鈥檚 like the dam breaks when they get them too.

Ryan Coleman-Williams takes the field with the offense on its first drive of the second half.

Ugh, going to need a heroic effort from Thompkins.
Alabama WR Ryan Coleman-Williams is good to go, per a UA spokesperson. NT Terrance Green is questionable.
