Getting into the mid-30s in eastern Illinois tonight.
Tonight is the night when I put away my pretty Pendleton Woolen Mills blanket and break out the heavy duty 'bear blanket' my mom (RIP) got me for Christmas when she was worried about me living in a cabin with no central heat.
Parked at a truck stop in Joplin that's extremely popular with our friends from the subcontinent so I made double-sure to procure 100% unblockable parking.
1mi from my pick but this is such a slow boat I can afford to cover no measurable ground.

It is so bloody frustrating to ride past my favorite BBQ place TWICE knowing they're closed. I was able to console myself with quality tacos a few days later but it ain't the same and we all know it.

Had my best week of the year last week, which is good because between election day, my daughter's visit, and Thanksgiving I'm going to be off the road more than on next month.

Located and reported a stolen trailer to the company this afternoon. Dude with paper/tape DOT info apparently got scammed. LE was called. Dude surrendered the trailer and got to walk away. Wild adventure.
Now to see if the company issues my 40 pieces of silver. 🤣
