Oldest building in Kansas City? 500 Westport Road built in 1850 where Kelly’s is today. Jim Bridger once owned the building next door at 504 Westport Road. Hank and Abby seemed to like the history this AM and Abby even asked for an encore of Johnny Horton’s song Jim Bridger.

Hank and I ducked off the campaign trail today for a couple of soccer games in Springfield. Added bonuses that Hank’s great grandma got to watch a game and we checked in on Hank’s great friend @fogle4mo while she was on the doors!

I made a rare court appearance in Platte City this morning and of course it made me think about my friend Eric Zahnd. Over the years, we worked on several projects together and there is no doubt that he was a brilliant man who loved his family. I will miss seeing him.
