Announcing CACHE2 results! Crowdsourcing and conventional methods did as well as novel ML. Teams started from 4 fragments in the PDB. We tested their predictions and found double-digit µM hits. This is the state-of-the-art. @thesgconline @consciencemeds bit.ly/4dTPBzO

I don't say this lightly - but the floods in Porto Alegre, Brazil, are looking comparable to what Katrina did to New Orleans in 2005 -- massive evacuations, water & power outages, key infrastructure damaged, parts of city unlivable, possible long-term consequences

I had no money growing up. My dad was a labourer and my mum did everything to make ends meet. Men worked hard. Women worked miracles. But education was free. As was the local library. I knew books were my passport to a better life. Happy #WorldBookDay
