knowledge of self is so difficult because you, yourself are never in the training data. introspection is a sign of intelligence. could a model introspect itself? can a model tell humans how to best use itself? that would seems to be table stakes for 'super intelligence'.

Context around the satellite Russia appears to be targeting: This satellite's constellation can image the ground in any weather condition and can revisit locations quickly. They provide services to Poland, Germany, and Ukraine. Seems like a key tool for these countries. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ICEYE

AI agents just aren't ready. Even if it works perfectly you get refusals to do basic things like login with 2fa or doing anything to your system that requires an admin. This stuff is nerfed until its cheap enough to run locally or providers make conversations fully private.

one of the most fascinating (and bleak) aspects of society in 2026 is the outright dismissal of retail & service jobs as illegitimate, even though every single one of us relies on these workers every single day. mind boggling.
This viral Sears story is sparking debate about today’s economy He says full time retail workers could afford a comfortable middle class life back then, sparking a debate about when a steady job stopped being enough to get ahead. [via/ GettyImages]

vector databases are Gator-ade and grep is water. just have the water.
the "wisest" among us said use Cursor over claude code because Cursor uses vectors on your codebase so that the LLM can find your code better and now Cursor dropped that and just uses grep like everyone else has since the day grep was invented
