Obama tonight on his Cheesecake Factory line: "They mobilized a whole of government response to that joke. Not to inflation, but to that joke. The White House even called the Secretary of the Treasury. This is the man who is in charge of the economy. The person who's supposed to be figuring out how to make your life more affordable. The guy who's supposed to be figuring out how to lower inflation. And reduce interest rates. They told him he should hold a press conference in front of the Cheesecake Factory."

A 25-year-old woman was abducted at gunpoint and forced into the back seat of a car. Desperate for someone to notice, she locked eyes with two teenage boys in another vehicle and silently mouthed two words… “Help me.” 17-year-old Jamal Harris and 19-year-old Aaron Arias immediately called 911 and began following the car. The driver realized they were behind him and started speeding up, slowing down and swerving through traffic trying to lose them. But Jamal and Aaron stayed with him, continuously updating police on where the car was going. They knew if they lost sight of it, the woman could disappear. Police eventually caught up, surrounded the vehicle and arrested the driver. The woman was finally safe, and later embraced the teenagers who had noticed her silent plea and refused to look away. Jamal and Aaron were just out driving that day. But because they paid attention and kept following when it would have been easier to turn away, a kidnapped woman made it home safely. These are the types of young people the internet should be talking about. 💙 – at Chicago, IL

A car carrying a father and his two sons crashed into a canal and flipped over. The car began filling with water, and the 4-year-old was still strapped into his seat. A bystander named Jose Diaz saw what happened and dove in after them. Jose tried to free the boy, but he couldn’t get him out. So he held the boy’s head above water for nearly thirty minutes until rescuers arrived. An officer finally cut through the car’s seat belt and pulled him free. His father and older brother were rescued safely as well. That 4-year-old boy is alive because a complete stranger saw what was happening, jumped into the water and refused to leave him. So let’s share this story and give Jose Diaz the recognition he deserves.

A police officer stopped a young man's car and, upon checking it, realized that his driving license had expired. The police officer asked him why he was driving with an expired license. He answered: «They just fired me from my night job, and the money I have is only enough for me to eat, pay rent, and my bills. I am from another state and I have come here to study at university. Plus, I have a job interview». The police officer had the option of applying the law and prohibiting the young man from driving his car, but he decided to listen to his heart. He parked his police vehicle, helped him tie his tie, got into the young man's car and accompanied him to the interview location. They entered together. The police officer apologized and explained the reason for the young man's delay. They hired him! The young man got the job and obtained a temporary driving license until he raised enough money to renew his license. That's humanity!

🚨HERO: On April 22, 2018, James Shaw Jr. walked into a Waffle House in Antioch, Tennessee, expecting nothing more than breakfast. Minutes later, gunfire erupted inside the restaurant. Four people had already been killed, and the gunman was still holding an AR-15-style rifle. Most people ran. Shaw made a split-second decision. Unarmed, he charged the shooter, grabbed the rifle by its burning-hot barrel with his bare hands, and fought until he wrested the weapon away. His hands were severely burned, but he did not let go. The gunman fled. Shaw’s actions almost certainly prevented further loss of life. The country called him a hero. Shaw refused the title. He said he was simply trying to survive and protect the people around him. Instead of seeking attention, he launched a fundraiser that raised more than $200,000 for the victims’ families. He continued speaking about healing and supporting communities affected by violence. The headlines have long since faded. Many no longer remember the name. But courage like James Shaw Jr.’s should never be forgotten.
