📣 Introducing Buddy roles in divebase.cloud
From today you can give a buddy a role on a dive, such as Instructor, Assistant, Guide or Student. This allows you to better record your dive history.

🎉 Divebase now supports cubic feet
You can now log your dives using cylinder sizes in cu ft. 🇺🇸
Your AL80 finally reads as an 80, not 11.1 L. And with feet, psi, Fahrenheit and pounds already in, the dive log now covers all imperial units.

Dive site selection in divebase.cloud just got a fresh look, from a plain old select to an advanced suggestion filter based on your available dive sites.

I can finally share more news about upcoming development of Divebase.
Renumbering dive feature is here, in webapp as well in iOS and Android. Largely inspired by @MacDiveApp

🚀 Happy to announce the public beta of divebase.cloud, a digital dive log built by a diver, for divers.
Almost a year in the making, live from today. Your dive logbook, finally in one place.

📣 Dive Exporter v1.4 is available
For those of you who prefer a simple download tool rather than a full divelog, check this out.

Changed download to be the primary device action. A tap on a device row in the Devices tab starts the download. The other device actions move to a long press.
This is an example with my favourite dive computers from @HalcyonDiving @DiveShearwater

iOS and Android apps are in private beta: connect your dive computer over Bluetooth, download dives, and read your logbook offline, even on a boat in the middle of nowhere.

Over the past few months I've been building an app for fellow divers: Dive Exporter. 🤿
It's an iOS app that connects to compatible dive computers via Bluetooth, downloads your dives, and lets you view, and export them to popular dive logbook formats.
diveexporter.app
It’s especially useful if you:
• Want an independent backup of your dives
• Use multiple dive computers
• Want a faster, simpler alternative to the manufacturer’s app
The app has been tested with @HalcyonDiving Symbios, @DiveShearwater, #mares, and @Omar_Seac dive computers.
If you have a computer from another manufacturer and would like to help test compatibility, I’d love to hear from you.

If you run a home lab, this one's for you! Omer from @devopstoolbox just dropped a video on managing home lab:
✅ Real domain, not .local nonsense
✅ Valid TLS with caddy
✅ Headscale for remote access
✅ DNSimple for DNS that stays out of your way

Seriously, just see how convenient it is to ask Claude or Codex to setup a contact and register a domain via the @dnsimple CLI.

You asked, we listened. The @dnsimple CLI now lets you log into your account directly from your browser, with no API token to generate or paste.
If you're not using a CLI to register domains and manage DNS records, you don’t know what you’re missing.
