Colorado lawmakers take up bill to help Marshall Fire survivors whose lenders are holding insurance proceeds hostage cbsnews.com/colorado/news/co…
Surreal that this was last we saw of our home.
Childhood,wedding pictures,heirlooms-gone.
We watched this live from my father in law’s hospice room.
He passed the next morning.
2 years later and we have an empty lot where we should be rebuilding.

Whenever I see someone wearing a mask in public now, I have three thoughts:
1. They're sick and protecting me.
2. They're sick and protecting themselves.
3. They're perfectly healthy but protecting someone they love who is sick.
And in none of those scenarios is it my business.
Choose a random person, business, family and just give a little (or a lot). This is one of the most meaningful and important things you can do to help.
These donations are a lifesaver, not just financially- but emotionally as well.

1/3
2/3 For all those affected in Maui, insured or not (or about to find out they are not as insured as they thought)- this gesture is a hug of support from people across the ocean, showing we care about YOU and your family and needs.
A hallmark card mailed would cost $5 #MauiFires
3/3 Do this random act of kindness.
Please don’t expect a thank you- they are in shock and overwhelmed. But this will literally shine a little bright in their darkest moment.

1 year ago I took these, we had hope and saw progress.
Now, it’s an empty lot with no activity while our neighbors will be home by Christmas.
Fighting our insurer to do the right thing so we can rebuild.
We just want to get back home. #marshallfire #bouldercolorado

Anxiously watching the time. Less than an hour from now one year ago, our lives turned upside down.

I volunteer as a translator with asylees coming through the Texas border and I wanted to make a thread on who these migrants are, what help is actually needed and why what DeSantis and Abbott are doing is so needlessly cruel.
Everyone is talking about it, but so few understand

This happened in the UK at a school in Dunblane. It happened in Australia at Port Arthur.
It's fixable America, it just takes the will. How many more kids are going to die before you figure this out.

Fuck this.
Imagine the asshatted absurdity of thinking there is a “rule of law” derivative of a Constitution that was written only by men; afforded no rights to women; and was interpreted by only men for nearly 200 years.

Our community has experienced a lot recently, but we thought a lighthearted story might lift folks' spirits a little. During a recent call, #Boulder Police officers found something adorable. Watch to see #tuesdayvibe #WeMadeAFriend #YesWeKnowTheJoke

My all time favorite entertainer, who's Red Rocks shows *make* summer in #Colorado, signed up to lend his talent to help our community. This kinda stuff helps us who lost so much feel the love.
Thank you @LyleLovett!
