ALT NEW CLIMATE CONVERSATIONS There are two more Climate Conversations happening in Wellingborough. Join in on Friday 25th November 2022 at the Victoria Centre, 10am to 12 noon, and at Glamis Hall on the 1st December, 7pm to 9pm. Residents, businesses, faith, community groups, and schools are invited to attend and help us better understand the challenges and impacts of Climate Change, and what we can all do in response. We will be reflecting on the Climate Conversations we held in the spring, and sharing some of the content from our 11 workshops held this summer. This will be second series of Climate Conversations from Wellingborough Climate Action Project (WCAP) who have come together to offer three Climate Conversations across the town. WCAP is hosted by Glamis Hall for All and supported by Wellingborough Eco Group and other community organisations. Do join us, to find out more and book please fill in the form at http://www.wcap.org.uk/climate-conversations

ALT How can my food choices make a difference to my environmental impact? What is the impact of production, processing, transportation, cooking, and waste of food? We will look at how to cut your ‘food’ carbon footprint be that by growing and preparing your own or moving to meat free or lower meat diets. Mary from Redeem Funds will lead the ‘Food Not Wasted’ section, she will look at how much food is wasted, by who and what is being done to save and share food. Kerry from Food For Thought will be leading the packaging part, focussing primarily on single use packaging, its damaging consequences and how we can use less packaging. We will look at the problem of litter and what is being done to combat it by councils and by local volunteers. We will then look at what rubbish is (and isn’t) where it comes from and the collection and management of all waste. To finish up, we will look at simple ways to avoid waste, including how to Reduce, Reuse, Repair and Recycle. Do join us on Zoom at 7
