A US citizen illegally detained by ICE for 73 days. Trump’s America.

Democrats need to call Republicans what they are: un-American. Every Republican going along with Trump’s destruction wears that label, and it’s time to make them own it. Watch LP’s Stuart Stevens on MSNBC:

“Anyone who helps me try to steal an election gets a pardon” is perhaps the most corrupt thing to happen in American history.
That “conservatives” have simply accepted this as the price of admission is the greatest moral and intellectual humiliation.

Scenes from every lawless junta and dictatorship now part of everyday life in America.
Imagine if masked men showed up and grabbed the most important people in your life, and nobody told you where they went.
This is every day now in Trump’s America.

Moderates had some big wins on Tuesday. RDI CEO @UrielEpshtein in @nytimes: “True moderation goes beyond heterodox politics. It requires the humility to recognize that no one has all the answers and the restraint to avoid condemning everyone on the other side of an argument.”

Funny how after a terrible night, the GOP's first order of business is making it harder to vote instead of making grocery prices lower like they promised.

The lessons from last night should come from Virginia and New Jersey, where moderate Democrats smashed expectations by running on pragmatic solutions, not left-wing ideology. welcomestack.org/p/the-real-…

A young Muslim socialist mayor of New York City excites the extremes on both sides. But his narrow margin in a deep blue electorate shows he's hardly the model the Democrats need to take on Trumpism next year. For that, look to the moderate winners next door. My Next Move👇
RDI Chairman @Kasparov63: "Mikie Sherrill, Virginia’s Abigail Spanberger, and others in their mold have a far stronger case to be a standard-bearers for the Democrats than a far-left radical."

Democrats will win the New York City mayoral election by ~30 points less than they did four years ago.
They’ll win the Virginia gubernatorial election by nearly 15 points after losing to the GOP there four years ago.
The party would be wise to make their overperforming moderate, Abigail Spanberger—rather than their underperforming socialist, Zohran Mamdani—tomorrow’s story & their national standard-bearer.
But of course, they won’t.

Mamdani won in NYC fair and square. But the idea that he’s “the future of the Democratic Party” and that his far-left politics are a model for winning nationwide is ridiculous.
He barely cleared 50% in a deep-blue city running against a very flawed candidate.
Mikie Sherrill and Abigail Spanberger, two centrist Democrats who hugely outperformed Harris’s 2024 margins in competitive and purple states, show the real path to winning the midterms.

BDS activists and the French labor union tried to stop the Israel Philharmonic from playing in Paris. They failed.
Paris heard a symphony of coexistence, with Jews, Arabs, and Druze united.
The Israel Philharmonic didn’t just perform, it prevailed. You can’t silence us.

Three things are clear: Trump endorsements don’t mean anything, and voters are concerned about the shutdown and our country. DSA candidates are not democrats, and they don’t speak on behalf of us, so no, we shouldn’t “take notes” and embrace their platforms. What we should be doing is looking to @SpanbergerForVA and @MikieSherrill as the faces of the party and as examples of how it’s done. One last thing, NOTHING is ever free, but some will find that out soon 🙃
