So what? If they dodge these rules, we make up more rules. Sometimes it takes a few cycles. But ultimately tax exemptions are supposed to be for the public good and the public can take them away. 🤷♀️
Prediction: AB 1780 (ending legacy/donor admissions in CA) will backfire. In its place will be a whole series of activities and clubs for potential students to show they are committed to Stanford & USC years in advance of applying. These will be even more expensive and exclusive in the long run.

All universities that do legacy admissions are fundamentally corrupt institutions that should be stripped of their tax exemptions and that's my opinion.
