Have you heard of @WebCaptioner? It's a free service that listens to your microphone and provides live captions... and it's a great way to add closed captioning to your @Zoom_us meeting! More information is on our Zoom webpage:

If you use Zoom for classes and client work, there is NO REASON to not better include folx who are deaf or hard of hearing by using live captioning via @webcaptioner! It's FREE, quick, and ...well ...the right thing to do.

Alternatively caption your content live if you aren't already, in a way that generates a caption on the clip too! My closed captions are done via @webcaptioner when I am live. No good cheap solution for pre-recorded content though, it's pay by money or pay by time taken to do it.

So I discovered a feature on @webcaptioner was missing & was urked. While I waited for a response I read the website & learned that it's run by ONE PERSON in their spare time! They don't charge money or advertise & the service is top notch.

I have been using @webcaptioner for a while now and it's great! It also often provides way better content than I originally intend when it says I say things that never get said hahaha I think it's my accent but it's hilarious

I'm excited to hear you are interested in open source for your project! The Live Captioning Initiative I work on is open source. It uses the API to provides SRT format to the browser. github.com/MidCamp/live-capt…

Privilege: to have something that someone doesn't.
I have a virtual ticket for BlizzCon and Arena & MDI aren't captioned live. I have to rely on @webcaptioner to follow along since I love doing dungeons. @Blizzard_Ent @BlizzardCS Can you do something about this for next year?
ALT Two computer monitors side by side. Left one shows dungeon running and the right shows WebCaptioner captioning.

Watching @Erdayastrona’s livestream of @SpaceX Falcon Heavy mission. Since YouTube isn’t captioning it, I’m using @webcaptioner to do the job for me.

Thanks for a great stream tonight!
Stoked you guys like the new closed captions, the ticker line, the new layouts, and #TheGrandTourGame bounty!
If you’re looking to use captions, highly recommend @webcaptioner 👍🏼
Attached are some screenshots for folks who missed it 🤠

Web Captioner is probably the best little tool I've added to my stream. So often I get people coming in and saying how cool it is to have live captions, and as a HoH person it means a lot to me to put on a show that is accessible.

And having watched both Frank and Richard -- @webcaptioner works well! Like, surprisingly so. It even knows most pokemons.

Thank you so much for sharing!! I'm still definitely tweaking the background, but being able to chroma key, choose fonts, and even add bold shadows really makes the possibilities with @webcaptioner practically limitless!
Gotta shout out @ashnichrist for showing me your service!

But what I didn't get .. is why I felt as though my heart fell to the bottom of my stomach. That pit of despair .. that sadness. I really wanted to enjoy his channel. Yet it just kinda hurts. I need to go cry. @webcaptioner Thank you so .. so much for this.
