Want to be demoralized today? Head over to the H1B visa Reddit forum. They are still getting record approvals, PERMs, and finding new jobs in record time when being laid off. It seems to be smoke and mirrors what the Trump Administration is doing here.

.@amyactonoh on Vivek Ramaswamy's abhorrent campaign ad: "I won't normalize somebody who has said that my childhood is 'something I'm just complaining about,' who today, just released an ad using my birth mother, who I was removed from at the age of 12 for severe abuse and neglect and sexual abuse... The words our leaders use matter and I think it's gonna take courage right now from all of us to stop normalizing this sort of rhetoric."

Vivek Ramaswamy Is Dead Wrong on What it Means to Be an American Yesterday, Vivek said you can’t just move to France and become French or Japan and become Japanese or Italy and become Italian etc. He’s right. BUT then… Vivek makes the obscene argument that all 9 billion people on earth can all move to America and magically become “American” No. This ideology is cancer. 1. Being an American is not about how quickly the government can issue you paperwork. It's a heritage. A tradition forged in centuries of sacrifice of our forefathers who settled and built this land. Who built America? The answer is European Christians. For the first 200 years +90% of the American population were Christian settlers from the European continent. We also fought in the wars, built the infrastructure, created the economy and culture. These are facts. To ignore them is intellectual dishonesty and disrespect. What’s worse than ignoring our founding culture is the argument that other cultures are worth preserving and ours is not. 2. Why is Chinese, French, Japanese or German culture distinct and sacred, yet American culture, which has been the dominant force here since the 1600s, is to be discarded and replaced? A Nation is its people. If you took all the Japanese out of Japan, it wouldn’t be Japan anymore. If Japanese people became a vanishing minority in Japan, it wouldn’t be Japan anymore. If America becomes a UN refugee camp of infinite foreign enclaves, each one with their own alien traditions and allegiances and languages, we will atomize American culture. These comments reveal a worldview that America is simply an economic taxation zone to be strip mined of all resources by globalists and foreign fraudsters. I disavow this. To be an effective leader you must first love and treasure the people that you are leading. It’s ok to want to keep America American. 🇺🇸

In 1950, there were 228mn people living in Africa, with about 33mn in cities. Today there are 1.6bn Africans, 19% of the world’s total, of whom 670mn live in cities. Almost unnoticed, Africa has become an urban story, explains the FT's David Pilling. ft.trib.al/XZw6TGM

🇫🇷 You can learn a lot about the modern world by paying close attention here... These tourists in Paris gleefully filmed themselves looting, with one framing the act as "ending up" in something and taking "free stuff." When the riot police finally showed up, they, of course, began screaming like helpless victims. 🙄 Writer: Mhedi

BREAKING: According to my sources within the Iranian Air Force, Russia has offered Iran’s Islamic regime protection of Tehran under Russia–Iran security agreements, including the deployment of a squadron of Sukhoi Su-35 multirole fighters of the Russian Aerospace Forces and one S-400 long-range air defence system. The proposal was discussed yesterday during meetings in Tehran involving a Russian government delegation led by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. The offer follows the destruction of assets previously tasked with defending the capital, including the MiG-29B interceptors of the 11th Tactical Fighter Squadron of the Iranian Air Force at Mehrabad International Airport and two S-300PMU-2 air defence batteries of the Iranian Air Defense Force stationed south and west of Tehran, during Israeli and U.S. attacks in the 2025 and 2026 wars. According to the same sources, discussions also covered the deployment of Russian warships and submarines to Iran’s 1st Naval Base at Bandar Abbas, southern Iran, following extensive losses that have severely weakened the Iranian Navy’s ability to defend the country’s waters.

Yeah, it made no difference when Ukraine attacked oil facilities and retail chain. I doubt it would make a difference in Iran, even if true.

Qatar and Pakistan have presented Washington with a new proposal: $6 billion in frozen Iranian funds released in exchange for IAEA inspector access to Iran's nuclear sites. Both the American and Iranian sides are said to be receptive. The proposal surfaced during the Pakistani army chief's visit to Tehran, per Al-Araby Al-Jadeed.

🚨🇺🇸 🇮🇷 Iran’s blockade of Hormuz is failing: the Gulf is pumping out MORE oil than before the war Kpler's numbers for the week through Oct. 18: 24 million barrels a day out of the region against 23.3 million prewar, and Hormuz itself back to 82% of normal even though October has seen roughly 30 ship attacks, a fifth of the war's total. Saudi and Emirati pipelines now carry 40% of the Gulf's non-Iranian crude around the strait, up from 17% in February. Iran's own exports stay bottled up by the US blockade. The system doing it is ugly and EXPENSIVE. Tankers reportedly load inside the Gulf with their trackers off, dash through under American air cover along the Omani coast, hand the cargo to another ship in the Gulf of Oman and go back in for more. Crews get three times their monthly pay or a $25,000 bonus for one round trip, a supertanker run to China costs a record $37 a barrel in freight, war insurance has jumped from under 3% to 10% of hull value, and one ship that took an RPG through its water tank last week was carrying 2 million barrels of Iraqi crude at the time. Credit where it's due: CENTCOM said last week that the US controls Hormuz and Tehran's "closed" claims are lies, and the volume data backs Washington. Iran can still make the trip dangerous and the whole world is paying for it at $108 Brent, which is why gas is $6 and Trump is at 31%. But the leverage Tehran built in April, the actual shortage of crude, appears to be gone. Source: WSJ / Kpler / Writer: Daniel

On distribue, on subventionne, on finance.

The truth is the American aircraft carriers have their location tracked globally, so I doubt that they came that close to hit an enemy country without prior preparedness and an all out war is sure.

In less than five years, one king has rekindled the pride of his people, brought out the very best in them, and reminded the world what it truly means to be Warri people. They have showcased the breathtaking beauty of their culture, the splendour of their traditions, and the depth of their spirituality in a way that is impossible to ignore. The love, joy, passion, and devotion they display for their king and the unmistakable Warri identity are absolutely intoxicating! Honestly, it makes me a little jealous. But they are our brothers and aisters, and I couldn't be prouder of this young king and his people. What a beautiful thing to witness a king inspire such unity, cultural pride, and collective joy among his people. Congratulations to His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III! 👑 Long live the Olu of Warri! Long live the Itsekiri people! May your kingdom continue to flourish in cultural splendour, spiritual depth, unity, and prosperity. 🇳🇬🪇🇳🇬🪇🇳🇬🪇🇳🇬
