financial institutions are moving closer to onchain finance
but bringing financial activity onto a blockchain creates a challenge beyond transactions and smart contracts
a lot of valuable financial and user data already exists across web2 platforms
some examples include account balances, portfolio details, financial records and user activity… accessing these details could help an application make better decisions, but sensitive information cannot always be made public
there is also a trust problem
how can an application confirm a piece of information from the internet without relying on an unverified claim?
and how can it process sensitive information without revealing the underlying data?
@primus_labs is working around these problems through its privacy and verification infrastructure
one part of the technology focuses on zkTLS
when a user accesses information through a website or API, zkTLS can help prove the authenticity of the data received from the source without exposing the original information… the goal is to make internet data verifiable while protecting the user’s private details
the second part involves fully homomorphic encryption (FHE)
when sensitive information needs to be processed, FHE allows computation to happen directly on encrypted data. the underlying information stays protected during processing, while access to the result remains controlled by the appropriate data owner
together, these technologies create room for applications to work with information they may not be able to safely expose
the financial use cases make the problem more practical
proof of reserve systems can support verification across onchain and offchain portfolios, confidential finance can explore private asset holding, transfers and yield related activity through encrypted assets
there is still a lot to examine, from the underlying infrastructure to the products built around it
i’m starting my exploration of primus by looking at the problem behind the technology, then moving into how its products approach privacy and verification for onchain finance
i’ll be sharing more as i explore the technology and its use cases

holding BTC and actually using BTC are two very different things.
bitcoin is one of the most widely used assets in crypto, but the way you hold it doesn’t automatically give you access to everything happening in DeFi.
this is where the idea behind strkBTC starts to make sense.
strkBTC gives BTC a form that can interact with smart contracts and applications on @Starknet
think about it this way:
BTC → strkBTC → Starknet applications
strkBTC gives BTC a way to move from the Bitcoin network into an environment where it can interact with smart contracts and applications on Starknet.
that opens the door to things like DeFi, trading and other onchain use cases without having to simply leave your BTC sitting in a wallet.
and that’s really the point of bringing BTC into an environment like Starknet.
you’re not changing what Bitcoin is.
you’re giving the BTC you already hold a way to interact with applications that couldn’t interact with it in the same way before.

bitcoin has the liquidity.
what it hasn’t always had is enough infrastructure around it for developers to build more sophisticated applications.
that matters because BTC doesn’t become more useful simply by moving it to another network.
developers need an environment where that BTC can interact with smart contracts and other applications.
strkBTC brings that BTC exposure into @Starknet, where developers can build around it instead of treating Bitcoin as something that only gets transferred or held.
that creates room for different kinds of BTC applications to exist on the same network, while users can decide which ones actually make sense for them.
so the bigger shift isn’t just moving BTC onchain.
it’s making BTC something developers can build around.

Made an art of a popular rebels character I wanted to portray, and I loved every bit of the journey.
Rebels are known for aura farming 😅😅
So I made this art with the character aura farming in the most aura-farmed spot. 😂

i came across a video i did in June 2025
i was somewhat at rock bottom(my own version of it anyway)
it was also peak infofi, everyone was making money except me and it was a little depressing
but by the end of the year, i made my bigggest bag and everything i said in that video that i would do — i did
fast forward to today, im in a much better position and i can’t deny but im proud of what ive done but i still understand how far i have to go
im a crazy mf. i dont joke about my success. i dont mind pain, losses and suffering
cos i know what comes at the other side of it.
it’s my birthday and im gonna have some cake, go to a park and read a book
and also think about my life.
bitcoin has a weird problem.
it’s one of the best assets to hold, but actually putting your btc to work onchain can get complicated.
alright, here comes @starknet
you can bring btc from bitcoin onto starknet, then use it across defi for things like lending, trading, staking or collateral.
there's something else that's really interesting
you can shield your strkbtc when you want
more control over what’s visible.
so instead of just holding btc and watching it sit there:
btc → strkbtc → actually use it.
props to starknet for building this シ
would you put your btc to work like this?

@web3_tech_ cook on this video ngl
i love crypto for a reason.
the fact that it’s built on privacy and proof.
those two things don’t get to be taken lightly,
so your trading history, your credit, your identity is private for a reason.
but crypto had one annoying problem;
prove it’s true, or keep it private.
pick one.
@primus_labs just fixed that.
it basically lets your data prove itself is real without showing what’s inside.
and lets apps check it’s correct without ever seeing the raw info.
so your bank record, your trades, your credit
can go on-chain and stay private at the same time.
thus there wouldn’t be a need for a new blockchain.
it just plugs into what you already use.
in that case; zkTLS proves something’s true without showing the details for example proving that you’re 19 without showing your birthday details.
while, zkFHE lets others check your info without ever allowing them to see it.
