Whole market was absolutely sending until Elon Musk replied to a post from a supposedly hacked account. Not even sure how that post connected to $SLINK, but both whales and shrimps started dumping their other bags and aping hard into it. Token went from the absolute bottom of the barrel all the way to $80M mcap, only for the hacker to come in and nuke the whole thing with zero fucking mercy. Web3 might genuinely be one of the most dangerous places on earth to try and make a living. I’m not even sure deep sea welders are catching this level of stress. At least they know what can kill them. In crypto, the fucking hacker can spawn out of nowhere and wipe months or years of work in minutes. The real OGs of crypto preached diamond handing project tokens for as long as necessary because they understood one simple thing: real wealth is not built overnight. HODLing is literally one of the reasons projects like BTC, ETH, SOL, BNB and many other blue chips got to the heights they did. People held through the volatility, the FUD, the dumps and the uncertainty. They gave their bags time to cook. Today, the game is completely different. We’ve got 100k+ tokens launching across easy launch platforms like pump.fun, pons.family and others. Once the technical barrier to creating token contracts and launching them was removed, every Tom, Dick and Harry started launching tokens whenever they felt like it. Some people are launching 10 tokens in a single day. 💀 Even worse, a good chunk of these launches are seemingly designed to get farmed and nuked around $50k MC once they graduate from the launchpad. And if you look closely at Fomo Family, you’ll also see big bag holders firing 30 - 50 buys across a token just to manufacture a bullish-looking chart, create FOMO and bait other traders into aping in.
