A huge thank you to the first three supporters of the Kaspa Privacy Initiative. I genuinely appreciate your trust and willingness to help fund this open-source research!
And the timing couldn't be better.
We're currently investigating a real bottleneck in our ZK proving pipeline.
In PR #40, we've successfully generated and independently verified five real partial RISC Zero proof receipts, including two proven segments and their cryptographic join.
The catch? On our current 4-CPU setup, proving each segment takes about 7 minutes. With 121 segments in the full workload, a complete proof could take roughly 15 hours or more on this hardware. That's an estimate, not a completed full-proof benchmark.
So our next step is to test GPU acceleration. We're looking at renting an NVIDIA GPU to see whether we can bring proving time down significantly.
This is a great example of why research has real costs, even with AI accelerating development. The community contributions can now directly help us fund that next experiment.

The dollar is not going away its going to become digital.
If you are going to use digital dollars you need a base layer that values your self sovereignty, has high censorship resistance and works at the speed of the internet.
This is not to say your digital dollar will inherit all these qualities but at the very least it means digital dollars is not the end goal its simply a tool to allow you to easily plug in and out of the fiat system at will.

Gut so! Auch der Wirtschaftsrat der CDU lehnt die Abschaffung der Haltefrist für #Bitcoin ab. Zu Recht: 83 Millionen Euro Mehreinnahmen stehen hohen Bürokratiekosten gegenüber. Langfristiges Sparen wird bestraft, kurzfristige Spekulation belohnt. Und die Union hat versprochen, keine neuen Steuern einzuführen.
Der Kabinettstermin ist geplatzt, der Druck wirkt. Jetzt nicht nachlassen. Die #Haltefrist muss bleiben.
