[4/5] Introducing Picket Picket is being developed in response to the growing requirement for AI processing and communications at the edge, where access to centralised data-centre infrastructure and persistent connectivity cannot always be assured. The product is designed to aggregate edge CPU devices into a secure, resilient and offline sovereign AI mesh network, creating a distributed resource that can be configured and managed around mission requirements. This enables the network to provide both AI processing and communications capability, reducing reliance on expensive or unavailable centralised infrastructure.

[5/5] With five sovereign software products now in development, the expansion of the Product Studio demonstrates the Company's Operating Model beginning to repeat at greater scale. Increasing customer and end-user access is identifying new problem sets, those requirements are informing what Defence Holdings builds next, and the resulting products create further opportunities for customer engagement, validation and development. The Company will continue to invest against validated customer requirements where it believes sovereign software can address identified capability gaps. #ALRT

Meridian Cohort Spotlight: Valinor Intelligence Turning open-source information into actionable intelligence. @Valinorint is an intelligence-as-a-service company combining proprietary OSINT technology with a distributed community of more than 300 verified analysts and subject-matter experts. Its model combines automated collection with specialist analysis to deliver completed intelligence products, monitoring and bespoke datasets on demand. For defence and national security, that addresses a growing challenge: there is now more publicly available information than any organisation can continuously analyse itself. Commercial imagery, social media, data leaks, vessel and aircraft data, corporate records, local reporting and specialist sources can all contribute to the intelligence picture, but collecting information is not the same as understanding it. Valinor's approach is designed to provide specialist analytical capacity when and where it is required, combining technology with relevant subject-matter expertise rather than requiring customers to maintain every capability internally. As commercially available data continues to expand, the opportunity is to help defence and national security organisations validate, combine and interpret open-source information quickly, supporting applications across defence, national security, critical infrastructure, geopolitical risk and commercial intelligence. Valinor enters Meridian with established commercial traction, including more than 30 closed-won deals and a qualified sales pipeline worth over £7 million. We're delighted to welcome Valinor Intelligence to Meridian's inaugural cohort. Learn more about Valinor Intelligence: meridianbydefenceplc.com/coh…

Meridian Cohort Spotlight: Unified UV Keeping autonomous systems connected, coordinated and aware. Unified UV is building the physical coordination infrastructure designed to turn autonomous platforms into coordinated teams. Its plug-and-play onboard hardware module uses directional links to provide resilient mesh communications, determine relative positions and maintain synchronised timing, without relying on GNSS, conventional communications or manual direction. For defence, that addresses a fundamental challenge as autonomous fleets scale. Many platforms remain dependent on wide-area communications networks and external positioning signals, creating congestion and increasing their exposure to detection, disruption and electronic attack. Unified UV's technology is designed to establish resilient, directional links directly between cooperating platforms, allowing them to exchange information, locate one another and synchronise their actions even when GNSS and conventional communications are degraded or denied. As defence increasingly moves towards collaborative autonomy, the opportunity is to provide the underlying infrastructure that enables multiple autonomous assets to operate not simply as individual platforms, but as coordinated teams capable of sharing information, allocating tasks and adapting at machine speed. We're delighted to welcome Unified UV to Meridian's inaugural cohort. Learn more about Unified UV: meridianbydefenceplc.com/coh…

Meridian Cohort Spotlight: Haziel Autonomous navigation for communications infrastructure in contested environments. Haziel is developing AI designed to enable platforms to operate through bad weather, high altitudes and GPS/GNSS-denied environments. Its first product, Godwit, uses autonomous weather-based navigation to hold high-altitude balloons over a defined location by exploiting changing wind conditions at different altitudes. For defence, that creates the potential for resilient communications and alternative positioning, navigation and timing infrastructure that is less dependent on conventional ground networks or space-based systems. As military forces become more distributed and increasingly exposed to jamming and GNSS denial, maintaining connectivity becomes critical to the operation of autonomous vehicles, sensors, command systems and deployed personnel. The opportunity is to create communications and navigation infrastructure capable of continuing to function in contested environments, supporting applications including tactical communications, PNT, persistent ISR relay and autonomous-system backhaul. We're delighted to welcome Haziel to Meridian's inaugural cohort. Learn more about Haziel: meridianbydefenceplc.com/coh…

Meridian Cohort Spotlight: TACTIQL Making defence data interoperable across systems and networks. TACTIQL is developing the software infrastructure required to make information generated by different military sensors and systems interoperable. Its FULCRUM platform ingests, processes and standardises data from multiple sources before distributing it across networks and command-and-control systems. For defence, that becomes particularly important as forces operate across increasingly connected environments, where sensors, vehicles and software from different manufacturers, countries and generations of technology need to communicate. TACTIQL's technology has already been baselined on the Canadian Army's mission network supporting NATO's Enhanced Forward Presence in Latvia, supported Canadian Navy uncrewed-system integration and been deployed at NATO and coalition exercises. The opportunity is to enable information to move more effectively across platforms, services and allied systems, helping turn existing defence data into information that can be used where and when it is needed. We're delighted to welcome TACTIQL to Meridian's inaugural cohort. Learn more about TACTIQL: meridianbydefenceplc.com/coh…

Meridian Cohort Spotlight: N:SYM AI at the edge, without the infrastructure normally required to support it. N:SYM is developing neuro-symbolic AI technology designed to combine machine learning with structured reasoning, creating systems that can operate with smaller datasets, lower compute requirements and greater explainability. For defence, that becomes particularly important in environments where access to cloud infrastructure, high-performance GPUs or large volumes of training data cannot be assumed. N:SYM's approach is designed to bring sophisticated AI capability closer to the point of need, including constrained and disconnected environments. The opportunity is to make advanced AI more deployable, explainable and sovereign, expanding where and how it can be used across defence operations. We're delighted to welcome N:SYM to Meridian's inaugural cohort. Learn more about N:SYM: meridianbydefenceplc.com/coh…

Meridian Cohort Spotlight: Nisien Turning online noise into early warning of emerging threats. @nisien_ai develops HERO, an AI-driven early-warning platform designed to detect, classify and prioritise online threats, including text and imagery generated or manipulated using AI. As generative AI makes it increasingly easy to create convincing content that can misrepresent events, spread misinformation or influence decision-making, the challenge is shifting from simply identifying what is being said online to establishing what is real, what can be trusted and what is likely to matter. Nisien's technology is designed to move that process forward in time, helping organisations identify meaningful threats and prioritise action before an emerging issue becomes a larger operational problem. Built on more than a decade of academic and applied research associated with Cardiff University, the technology is already being commercialised through a multi-year recurring contract, with significant potential application across defence, national security and wider information assurance. We're delighted to welcome Nisien to Meridian's inaugural cohort. meridianbydefenceplc.com/coh…

Meridian Cohort Spotlight: Inexorable Coordinating autonomous systems across air, land and sea. Inexorable is developing a sovereign software orchestration layer for coordinating large teams of uncrewed autonomous vehicles across air, land and maritime environments. Its AI platform is designed to sit across third-party vehicles and mission systems, enabling different fleets to share information, replan missions and coordinate activity without being tied to a single hardware provider. The company has demonstrated control of more than 100 uncrewed vehicles in simulation and has been awarded three UK Ministry of Defence contracts between December 2025 and August 2026. For defence and national security, the opportunity is significant: as armed forces deploy greater numbers of uncrewed systems, Inexorable is developing the software required to coordinate them at scale, enabling decentralised teams to adapt to changing conditions and continue operating with reduced reliance on continuous operator intervention. We're delighted to welcome Inexorable as a member of our inaugural cohort. meridianbydefenceplc.com/coh… #ALRT
