Deleting That Video Will Hurt Your YouTube Channel! Before you MASS DELETE videos from your YouTube Channel you need to understand how video uploads are seeded. Not knowing will lead to the dead of that channel. New uploads never start from zero on an established channel. 1. It get pushed to your subscribers/notification audience. 2. placed as "suggested" next to your existing popular videos. 3. Tested in Browse based on the channel's recent performance profile. Here is how deletion affects the channel.... The first pattern is not affected(the subscribers). Your subscribers are intact. But we know that to go viral, you can't depend on your subscribers. I have made a post on this before. The issue starts from the second. The second pathway (the popular videos that used to pull viewers toward your new ones are gone). There is no force to side push the new video. Leading to the disruption in the third (the channel's performance data just went through a shock, so the system's confidence in who to test your videos on has reset). The data is gone. YouTube try not to spam content to everyone. The reason why it uses audience profiling in pushing videos. The sequence and recognition mechanism of the algorithm for that channel and the audience is distorted. To get things back, You need to CONSISTENTLY keep uploading similar contents. It can take some time. But it is what it is. So, before you delete videos, factor that it can affect new uploads.
