"You know the sound of parades can be just as loud as the sound of a grave/ being hovered over, picking out the sound that you chase/ is another quota, filling up the balance it made/ they telling you to be water and to balance the waves/ I spent my quarters right, all of the quarter waters I bought in life/ tryna balance those with this ginger tea that pours alike..." Clarity: so "Keep it Close" is me talking to hip hop as if she were a girl who's cheating on her man, the "main stream/popular side" of rap, with me, the "authentic/underground/'real' side" of rap.  She's running around with him in public and me in private. He's the main, I'm the sneaky link. "He be wanting you in the field and on demon time/ I come with a trumpet appeal to help you realign".  She wants to pivot fully to me, badly, but she's stuck. "The brighter the lights get over there, the more you run to me". We even cross paths when I ghost write for duke and we in the same studio. "I run into y'all and you play the other side of the room". When you listen to it, use that frame to experience it in.  #LuxuryTax 💰 ffm.to/luxurytax
