Always remembered 😔
He wasn’t a competitor trying to win the race. He was a doctor risking his own safety to save lives. Dr. John Hinds, widely known as the “Flying Doctor,” became legendary for riding alongside motorcycle racers, positioning himself close enough to reach crash sites within seconds and provide critical medical treatment.
His dedication to emergency care meant entering the same dangerous environment as the riders, ensuring injured competitors received help when every second counted. Rather than waiting for an ambulance to arrive, he brought lifesaving medical expertise directly to the track.
Tragically, in 2015, Dr. Hinds lost his life in a motorcycle accident while providing medical coverage at Ireland’s Skerries 100. His remarkable courage, dedication, and contributions to motorcycle racing medicine left a lasting legacy, and he continues to be remembered as a doctor who put the lives of others before his own.

It gets fucking tiring when journalists say “you already had a referendum”
We know.
We’ve also had 6 prime ministers, 4 general elections, 3 Holyrood elections and 500,000+ new voters to the electoral register since 2014
Democracy didn’t end in 2014, Naga
The Scottish National Party is to launch the biggest pro-independence campaign since the 2014 referendum - as it holds its annual autumn conference in Aberdeen.

Welcome to Edinburgh 🤬 Regular experience at @EDI_Airport – at Edinburgh, Scotland
Edinburgh Airport last night. Passengers from 3 flights bussed to, and then herded through a narrow entrance to climb a staircase, to then descend another in order to join a massive queue at passport control!
It's a dreadful experience, which feels almost third world, and a terrible welcome to our capital City.
And who owns Edinburgh Airport? The highly profitable Vinci Airports (French) and Blackrock!
The great arguments for privatisation included modernising and responding better to customer demands, but what we've ended up with in Edinburgh is fat cat profit over national pride.

This prick could cut Fuel Duty, VAT on diesel
BetterTogether eh
I know people are worried about fuel prices. And I get it. You get to the pump, watch the numbers climb, and wonder why it's costing so much more than it used to.
The reality is that global events are pushing up costs, and families here at home are feeling the impact.
But I won't accept that there's nothing I can do to help.
That's why from today, you'll be able to see petrol and diesel prices on Google Maps, compare nearby stations and find the cheapest option before you fill up.
It's a small change, but if there's a practical way to help people keep more money in their pocket, I'll do it.
Cheers @HibernianFC I don't know why I even bother these days 🙄 – at Edinburgh, Scotland

Proceeds to do literally nothing to help.
Fuel prices are falsely inflated. They were inflated because of various wars, but never went back down when global prices fell.
An addition to Google Maps does fucj all.

Replying to @JohnHealey_MP @googlemaps
Just taken your advice and used Labours ideology to get the cheapest diesel for the van, it was £1.97 and 22 miles away so jumped on the bus £2 each way with a 45 gallon drum ratchet strapped to a sack barrow.
Thanks John 👍🏻
