Achieving cryogenic control of qubits is needed for scalability. Delighted to share new research demonstrating coherent cryogenic control of silicon spin qubits with only a small impact on single- and two-qubit performance. Well done Sam Bartee and team! arxiv.org/abs/2407.15151

Spin Qubits with Scalable milli-kelvin CMOS Control

A key virtue of spin qubits is their sub-micron footprint, enabling a single silicon chip to host the millions of qubits required to execute useful quantum algorithms with error correction. With...

I've largely avoided Quantum Phase Estimation (QPE) until now because it has been impractical on real hardware... until Fire Opal came along.... bsiegelwax.medium.com/quantu… #quantumcomputing @qctrlHQ @IBMResearch @qiskit #qiskit

Quantum Phase Estimation!

Now witness the true power of Q-CTRL’s Fire Opal.

If you are a @Dodgers fan the GOAT of announcers has passed. Truly sad. So many memorable calls especially the 1988 WS home run by Kirk Gibson. Thanks for the memories. RIP @TheVinScully

Quantum error correction is essential to the long-term future of #QuantumComputing. Our results show that combining QEC with deterministic error suppression at the gate and circuit level improves the ability of error correction to identify faulty qubits. buff.ly/3NqvGe5

Wow do I have an amazing story about @Qantas airlines! And not in a good way! You’d think that a company trying to build back its business would know about customer service They do not! More details soon.

For those who heard my hacking cough on this morning’s run, the cause was not Covid but some large mysterious bug I swallowed that got stuck on the back of my throat. Wow haven’t done that in years. BTW, the extra protein did not help me run faster.
