🚨 BREAKING: AMC Theatres is officially getting into the film distribution business.
AMC has launched Leawood Films, a new distribution company focused on bringing more small and mid-budget movies to theaters.
Rather than financing productions, Leawood Films will distribute movies that are already completed or fully financed by filmmakers using AMC’s massive theater network and marketing power to help get them onto the big screen.
The first releases are expected in 2027 or 2028. 🎬🍿
This could be HUGE for independent filmmakers and movie theaters.

🚨 BREAKING: IMAX is actively developing next-generation 70mm film projectors! This major technical upgrade could officially allow Christopher Nolan’s ‘THE ODYSSEY’ to exceed a 3-hour runtime—a feat impossible with current 15/70 units due to physical platter limits.

Still processing that Warner Bros. gave Paul Thomas Anderson a $130 million budget to adapt Vineland, shot on VistaVision with planned 70mm prints. Truly wild in the best way.
He delivered a masterpiece, of course.
