Good report from @malleven33 about Boost tapping boxer Mike Tyson for endorsement deal. Back in September, Wave7 Research reported that this deal was expected, as Monica noted. I'm upbeat about the move, as Boost is energizing its brand.

I tweeted on 9/25 that Boost would ink Mike Tyson for an endorsement. Today, Boost says: "Boost Mobile today announced a strategic partnership with legendary champion Mike Tyson." Campaign will say Boost has no hidden fees, contract traps, or confusing fine print.

Helpful update from @thebauminator about Cable One's effort to close the Mega Broadband deal. Mega operates Vyve Broadband, which has 200K+ Internet subscribers, including some in Ottawa, KS. Here's a pic of the Vyve store in Ottawa, KS, taken by Wave7 Research in September 2020.

There are ~700 Xfinity stores. Ten Florida markets have new Xfinity stores. Below are pix taken at a Kansas Xfinity store on 9/28. High-end Xfinity Mobile Plus plan is getting much love, pitched as providing device protection and annual phone upgrades.
Costco has 647 U.S. stores & will add ten more by next month, per new Wave7 Research postpaid report. Half have a T-Mobile kiosk -- KS kiosk from 9/18 below -- and half have AT&T kiosks. A Costco is about to open near my home in Kansas and the retailer's ground game is strong.
Starlink is buying spectrum, but history suggests that they will sell it to a national carrier and operate as an MVNO. In Lighter Side of Postpaid in new Wave7 Research postpaid report, we recall 86 press releases from LightSquared, Google's rumored network from 2007, and the Boost network that died in 2025.
Midco Mobile pitched at $15/mo along with $39/mo Internet in A-frame sign in front of Kansas Midco store visited on 10/5. Midco billboard touts $39/mo Internet, as seen in new Wave7 Research postpaid report. Spokesman? Minnesota Vikings linebacker Chad Greenway. @chadgreenway52
Window signage at a Kansas Verizon store visited on 10/6. "Holiday shopping starts here." On 10/6?!? Also pitching $30/mo Simplicity, NFL sponsorship, and open season for Verizon Mobile Protect, per new Wave7 Research postpaid report. Happy holidays! ☃️🎄🕎
Cox store in California as of April, now as a Spectrum store on 10/6, as seen in new Wave7 Research postpaid report. Before-and-after. There were 130+ Cox stores and they have been converted to Spectrum stores.
T-Mix window signage at a Kansas T-Mobile store visited on 10/6. Not saying it's been launched, but these pix give a flavor of it. They were in new Wave7 Research postpaid report out today. Much internal T-Mix signage also.
I tweeted that there were big lines at Apple stores for iPhone 18 Pro launch, but it was far crazier for the first iPhone launch, as Fox 4 Dallas reported in 2007. Was in Lighter Side part of new Wave7 report. The first guy in line, Marc Rebillet, became a music star.
