8 years ago, in this brilliant interview, Hungary’s Foreign Minister refused to be bullied by Emily Maitlis on immigration.
He’s been totally vindicated.
Recessions are supposed to hurt. That pain is the cure, not the disease.
When credit expands beyond real savings, the central bank manufactures a boom that cannot last. Businesses build factories for demand that borrowed money fabricated. Workers take jobs that only exist because interest rates sat artificially low. When the correction arrives, those malinvestments need to liquidate. Wages fall in some sectors, capital shifts, weaker firms close. Painful, yes. Fatal, no.
The depression arrives when government refuses to let the correction finish its work.
Herbert Hoover did this with textbook precision between 1929 and 1932. He signed Smoot-Hawley, raised the top income tax rate from 25% to 63%, pushed wages above market-clearing levels through industry agreements, and expanded federal spending by 50%. Every intervention delayed liquidation. Franklin Roosevelt then deepened and extended those same policies for a decade, keeping unemployment above 14% through 1940 when the private economy, left alone, would have recovered years earlier.
Governments prop up insolvent banks, subsidize failing industries, and inflate prices to prevent the nominal wage adjustments that would restore employment. Each intervention signals investors to wait. Capital sits idle because the rules keep changing. The recovery never gets traction because the government keeps moving the floor.

I honestly do not understand how any American who is not already a literal Communist or a literal Jihadist could vote Democrat after hearing what Slotkin said below.
This is LITERALLY totalitarianism. It's not the fake "fascism" the Left likes to accuse the Right of, it is the REAL THING.
Undeniably.
Irrefutably.
This is a sitting member of Congress who was in the CIA saying that dissent from what she believes will result in imprisonment.
This is straight out of Solzhenitsyn. Straight out of Orwell. This is something an early Nazi would have said in 1932 under the Weimar Republic.
Please please PLEASE share her words with everyone you know. The Democrat/Media Complex will try to bury this. It is up to us on social media, on blogs and via texts and emails to get the word out.
The only way to stop these monsters is to make sure that voters who don't really keep up on politics understand the actual threat, see it with their own eyes and hear it with their own ears.
Please. Spread the word to anyone who will listen. And even those who won't listen.
ON UCHICAGO CAMPUS: U.S. Senator from Michigan Elissa Slotkin hopes planned political prosecutions of republican leaders will scare young conservatives from getting involved in politics.

The debate between communism and capitalism is ultimately a test of whether you prefer inconvenient truths or comforting promises.
Capitalism asks you to accept that prosperity must be produced, that scarcity cannot be wished away, and that nobody owes you the fruits of someone else's labor.
Communism promises to overcome these realities through collective ownership and redistribution.
The appeal of a promise is easy to understand. The harder question is whether it can be fulfilled, and at what cost to individual freedom.

Let me get this straight, Cooper's latest ad is blaming Whatley for the rise in utility rates. Whatley was a lobbyist for the utility companies. He was doing his job, advocating for his clients. He had no power or role in setting utility rates. That fell to the NC General Assembly and was approved by Roy Cooper. If Roy Cooper really wants to know who was responsible for the rise in utility rates he should look in the mirror. Instead, he's hoping the voting public is ignorant and will buy his lies. If Cooper will lie about something so demonstrably proven to be untrue what else will he lie about?

Fantasy has nothing to do with the distinction. Capitalism is based on private property, voluntary exchange, and individual rights.
You're blaming capitalism for government policies that violate its fundamental principles: compulsory redistribution, subsidies, political favoritism, and trillions in debt to finance spending beyond its means.
The real fantasy is imagining that the consequences of violating capitalist principles somehow discredit capitalism itself, while advocating giving the very government responsible even greater economic power.

There are three amendments on your ballot this November. I'm voting YES on all three.
Amendment 1: photo ID for every way you vote, including by mail.
Amendment 2: lowers the cap on the state income tax from 7% to 3.5%, starting in 2027. It's a ceiling, not a rate.
Amendment 3: the General Assembly has to limit how much local governments can raise your property taxes. That protects homeowners and seniors.
For a lot of yall they're on the BACK of the ballot. Flip it over.
Early voting runs Oct. 15 through 3pm on Oct. 31. Election Day is Nov. 3.

By undermining the incentive to produce. When the producer becomes a sacrificial animal whose success creates an obligation to serve others, rather than being free to enjoy the rewards of his own effort and exchange by mutual consent, you punish the very activity that creates prosperity.
Produce more, surrender more. Succeed, become more obligated.
It's one of the easiest economic contradictions to identify. Socialism depends on the production it systematically discourages.
Islam is a totalitarian worldview using religion as a sword & shield. But this column advises against a blunt ban, b/c impact on other religions. Rather, a targeted shot at "theocracy" is advised ... like communism it is violative of Constitution.

The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act carried a $1.2 trillion price tag and a noble-sounding name. Congress passed it in November 2021, Biden signed it, and the press celebrated. Roads, bridges, broadband. The whole sales pitch. What actually landed in the bill tells a different story.
Genuine infrastructure spending, the kind that moves physical goods and connects people to markets, accounted for roughly $110 billion of that $1.2 trillion. Roads and bridges got $40 billion in new money. Passenger and freight rail received $66 billion. Broadband pulled another $65 billion. Add it up, and you are still well under 20% of the total, and the real figure for hard infrastructure sits closer to 10% once you strip out programs that would have passed in any normal appropriations cycle.
The remaining $1.1 trillion went to things Congress rebranded as infrastructure. Workforce development, climate resilience programs, electric vehicle subsidies, community development block grants.
This is how Washington operates. Take a word the public trusts, attach it to everything in the hopper, and dare anyone to vote against "roads and bridges." The label launders the spending. You pay for it through deficit financing that the Federal Reserve then monetizes, which erodes your purchasing power as reliably as a direct tax, just less visibly.
No federal agency holds the information needed to allocate capital better than private investors who face actual profit and loss. Amtrak lost money on food service alone for thirty consecutive years before anyone noticed. The bill does not fix one pothole more efficiently because Amtrak now has $22 billion to spend.
No government builds infrastructure. They pass the actual work to their connected cronies in the private sector, after taking their cut.
At least we know Biden actually signed this in person.👇

OK, North Carolina, if you are remotely considering a vote for Cooper for Senate… here is why Whatley is the ONLY choice!
1. While governor, Cooper vetoed 104 bills – nearly three times the combined totals of all previous governors. He cannot work across the aisle.
2. Cooper consistently aligned with the Biden administration on immigration and refused to work for a stronger border.
3. Cooper did not join other governors in publicly condemning Biden’s handling of the border.
4. In 2019, Cooper vetoed a “born-alive” abortion bill that would have required medical care for infants born alive after a failed abortion procedure.
5. The NC legislature passed a bill known as the Fairness in Women’s Sports Act (2023) requiring school and college sports teams to be designated by biological sex at birth. Cooper vetoed the bill.
6. In 2023, Cooper vetoed a package of bills related to transgender youth, including restrictions on gender-affirming care and sports participation.
7. Cooper has consistently opposed voter ID (photo identification) requirements for voting in North Carolina,
8. On Tuesday, Feb 24, 2021 Cooper vetoed a bill giving parents the ability to opt out of school mask mandates.
9. In 2021 Cooper, as governor, allowed early release of 3500 prisoners. Nearly half of them reoffended.
10. Former Governor Roy Cooper tries to present himself but his lack of criticism indicates he would not offer opposition to the extreme left wing part of his party.
11. If Cooper is elected to the U. S. Senate it is almost certain that he will vote for Chuck Schumer to head the Senate.
12. In Sept 2024 Cooper vetoed a bill that would have expanded funding for private school voucher programs.
13. Teacher Zoe Welsh was brutally murdered in her home. The accused murderer had twenty previous arrests but had been released to the public by a Cooper appointed judge. Cooper is consistently soft on crime.

Elizabeth Waffle is 88 years old. She lives in a trailer in Milan, Michigan. No computer. Spotty phone internet. Modest pension after her house burned down.
Federal records put her name on 14,696 ActBlue donations totaling nearly $150,000 over five years. Roughly eight a day. Average under ten bucks each. Forty-seven of them to Abdul El-Sayed.
When Charlie LeDuff showed her the paperwork, she said the only thing that fit.
“Hell no. I don’t have that kind of money.”
Democrats spent years selling the country a “small-dollar grassroots” story. The machine that powered it is under House investigation for foreign donations, weakened fraud checks, passport “verification” that only counted characters, and a legal team that walked out after 2024. Their CEO took the Fifth.
The names stayed on the filings. The money still moved. El-Sayed is the nominee.
They call it small donors. She calls it impossible.
