It was with great sadness that all of us at the WAM Cycle learned of the recent passing of Michael O’Mahony. Michael served for many years as a firefighter with Cork City Fire Brigade before retiring as Station Officer.

In the last number years Michael and his colleagues in the Durrus Men’s Group helped us out by organising the food stop in Durrus. It was Michael that made all the nice cakes for the food stop, with the carrot cake being a particular favourite.

We send our sympathies to Michael’s family, friends, neighbours and also his colleagues in Cork City Fire Brigade and the Durrus Men’s Group. Ar Dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis.
