I have a new article that I'm excited to share! I met Samantha Hughes of Riley Street Merchants who wrote a passionate reflection on an abandoned downtown diner, and when I looked into it, I learned it was an even more interesting story than I'd realized: daytonvistas.com/the-diner-o…
I wrote up some thoughts about how #ChatGPT has affected how I teach #informationliteracy, and I touch on why many are using AI incorrectly, how to get started evaluating its credibility, and even how AI could help reduce political polarization andrewjwalsh.com/how-chatgpt…
As a #librarian I've been involved with #textbookaffordability, including working with faculty to adopt & create free open educational resources (#OER). After my work on an #AI committee, I sketched out some ideas on how those two could work together: andrewjwalsh.com/why-oer-tex…
For anyone who follows my daytonvistas.com writing, that X account got hacked and I couldn't get any help getting it back so I've started a new account where I'll post about my writing about history, urban redevelopment, etc. You can follow at @walshandcities
Last year I served on a committee at Sinclair on #GenerativeAI and its effects on education. I learned a lot and thought I'd write up and share some ideas more widely. In this post I offer some thoughts on connections between #librarians and #AI skills:

Had a great experience at the Mindfulness, Media, & Misinformation in the Digital Era symposium yesterday at IU Kokomo. Saw engaging presentations, got to meet some great folks, and now have lots of ideas to bring into my own teaching. @3msymposium #myiuk

Bloomberg's $1.8 billion donation to Johns Hopkins made national headlines and was widely celebrated, but this $5 million gift to a MA community college could have a more significant impact disq.us/t/3babb5v
