As an avid cyclist and advocate of accessibility for all, I support @walkwheelcycle 's pledge. We need to get rid of the multiple barriers, like affordability and poor infrastructure, to folks mobility.
We've had a fair few candidates follow us in the past few days - welcome! Here's a quick thread reminding everyone why accessible active travel is part of solving so many of our modern day challenges, from health to our children's happiness

ALT Neighbourhoods which are better for active travel also promote outdoor play, which is essential for children's social and physical development
Transforming our towns, cities and villages around the needs of people rather than cars won't come cheap, which is why we emphasise #Investment. But the good news is that where we do make this transformation, it will pay us back many times over
