Many years ago Karloo Mick won the last race at Harold Park for Dubbo. Tonight Magpie Hector wins at Wenty for Forbes. The central west punches above its weight on the big nights #westisbest @MickWallaceMail
Three and a half hour drive home well spent listening to Silverchair to get into the grand final spirit.
I bet when @BBakerRacing won the Golden Rose on Saturday he didn’t think that would only be the second most significant win of the weekend. Go the Dubbo Cup!!!
Track gallop for Gallant Star on his path to the Kosciuszko @racing_nsw
Don’t get jealous @Chargey76 but I reckon I’m @munsieanne ‘s favourite
Sad news out of Dubbo with the passing of trainer Bobby Caton. A great man whose best horses were Master Patrick (18 wins) and Rafoy (21 wins). In the 1995/96 season alone, Bobby won 11 races with Rafoy. They don’t make them like that any more #vale
I know newspapers are cast and I’m not sure who writes headlines these days but if there isn’t a “We Wahs Dudded” tonight or tomorrow they’re not having a go.
Good luck @DuaneDowell and @newcastleraces_ for the two days of the carnival. I’ve barely missed one since 2001 but when the heir to the throne has his first soccer GF at 8am on Saturday morning it’s hard to be in two places at once.
Random piece of useless information. If the score in the Panthers v Roosters game ends up 20-10, then the first week of finals will have finished 20-10, 26-16, 26-16 and 20-10.
Ford initiated that by jumping into the tackle. Not sure what Katoa was supposed to do, he was hunched trying to make a legs tackle. It was Ford’s momentum, caused my the jump that caused it.
That’s a horrible call. If Barnett gets the ball and Donoghoe isn’t trying to make a tackle he’d look stupid. If a decoy player in close quarters runs into the defence like that he has to expect to be hit.
