Hey kits, this isn't my usual type of post but I want to talk about something that is incredibly important to me. This year, for my birthday, I decided I wanted to dedicate this day not only for me but for everyone else who has Borderline Personality Disorder too. I've had BPD for years now and it isn't something I discuss frequently because every time I do, I get treated like a lost puppy. I am not making this post for attention or pity, I instead want to bring attention to the BPD educational program that I and a few others are donating to this year for my birthday. I am donating to the National Education Alliance for Borderline Personality Disorder. They have resources that range from family members of those with BPD and resources for those with BPD. They can get you in touch with professionals if you are looking for personalized counseling, recovery, or just a listening ear. They also help others have a better understanding of BPD, to try to eliminate the negative stigma around people with BPD. The diagnoses can feel world shattering or like a death sentence for many of us with BPD because of the public's perception of us. Thank you for reading and I'm not posting this to guilt you into donating but rather, again, a way of bringing awareness about something that is of great importance to me.
