December 19th, 2019. Michael posts a note on the same Gab account gab.com/MichaeI_/posts/10333…. He says he was about 14 or 15 when he made the earlier posts. He says he liked Roblox, barely plays it now, and kept the old account instead of starting a new one. He says he hates Twitter and moved to Gab for “a better environment.” He is not saying the 2017 posts are fake. He is saying they are his, then using his age to soften them. He also kept the account. He did not delete it. He did not start over. He logged back into the same profile that boosted a homophobic slur and called Gab alt-right, then used that profile to explain himself. And “better environment” is doing a lot of work. In 2017 he already said the site was alt-right. In 2019 he still talks about that same site as the place he went to get away from Twitter. That is not him leaving Gab. That is him defending why he stayed.
