Sequel to Symmetry in Bloom, my Courtesan Shen Yuan AU--he's running a dual cultivation brothel, has a boyfriend, and now has to make sure the canon destruction doesn't occur

ALT Willow Roots and Rivers fancywaffles Summary: It’s been six years since the Immortal Alliance Conference and the last time Zhan Yuan (the courtesan that Shen Yuan transmigrated into) has seen Luo Binghe. Since that time, Shen Yuan has created a good life for himself, which includes his cultivation partner Liu Qingge and the Twin Dahlia Garden, a brothel that focuses on dual cultivation. Not everything is perfect, Shen Yuan’s spiritual veins are still permanently damaged from being used as a cauldron, Liu Qingge is dealing with the resurgence of legendary monsters, and Luo Binghe is back—perhaps not quite the little sheep anymore after five years in the Endless Abyss. (or, courtesan shen yuan au, part two) Sequel to Symmetry in Bloom

And this is the problem. Those drives are not PRIVATE! It’s a public drive shared in a massive public platform and contains lots of fandoms, which means lots of people who may not be in the fandoms we write for are in those drives. Not to mention bad faith actors.

if authors are supposedly motivated by engagement and validation, why are we pretending the people playing saviour by redistributing their work without consent are above the same motivations?

there's a rlly weird cognitive dissonance on my tl right now where lack of access to fanfic via the ao3 outage is acknowledged as a loss that is making people unhappy but any fic writers expressing any desire for recognition of their work via comments gets a negative reaction???
okay putting stuff in g-drive as a pdf seems to work but is also a bitch so I will do it if anyone has a specific fic they want otherwise we're all gonna have to wait a couple of weeks
Due to the AO3 downtime, I have put this fic in a PDF that can be accessed here: drive.google.com/file/d/1PY9…

Chapter 6, Alberta, Canada now up!
Joe and Cherry go with the rest of the SK8 gang on a snowboarding trip and Joe makes the terrible mistake of trying to talk about feelings.

I have mixed feeling about the way people are sharing fics. Like I’ve always been very cool with downloading but don’t post elsewhere with mine and can understand the exception right now but people are just posting things like the authors don’t exist. They’ll never get feedback.
It’s a drought for comments and interactions and that drags on you even if you’re not writing for engagement. So like. Maybe go find the authors after sigh. People won’t but it’d be nice.

Hey, just a reminder! When ao3 goes back up! Go ahead and visit the fics that you read downloads of to give the authors at the very least a hit! (A kudos or even a comment would be even better!) They do this for free so any appreciation we can show them would be amazing! :))

you can tag it as "additional warning in authors notes" (it's an existing tag) and explain the situation with a bullet censor like below, I'll paste the html on a tweet below ☺️

Chapter 17 up!
Binghe lives his domestic romance dreams, while Shen Yuan deals with BZP kids, and someone else wakes up from their dirt nap finally.

I accidentally made Alistair break up with me for my own good and then he killed himself on a dragon as an apology and cried so hard I scared my mother and had to explain my boyfriend died on a dragon after breaking up with me and then apologizing and she never asked again
saw a tweet about the Orsino blood magic thing in DA2 being out of character and it disappeared before I could make sure they knew the horror of the letter that he worked with the serial killing blood mage who did THAT to Mama Hawke. I NEED THEM TO KNOW IT WASNT RANDOM MAGE HATE
Willow Roots and Rivers | ~104K | E | In Progress {RTs ❤️)} #svsss #liushen Chapter 16 up!
Binghe finally gets a chance at the mat to bang the damage out of Shen Yuan's spiritual veins. No pressure!
