Meet Tinodashe Mangenda, a talented 22-year-old sculptor who is carrying forward a family tradition in stone carving. Tinodashe’s journey into sculpture was inspired by his father, Farai Mangenda, who has been a strong influence and a driving force behind his creative development. With a deep appreciation for his heritage, Tinodashe is committed to building on the artistic legacy passed down by his father. He hopes to see their family’s work continue to grow and gain recognition beyond Zimbabwe. He has gone through months of chemotherapy and treatment, but sadly, his cancer has returned. The procedure is not available in Zimbabwe, so he has been referred to Max Super Speciality Hospital in New Delhi, India.
